If you can’t use a computer, dial 211 and talk to a live operator for a list of nearby shelters and phone numbers. You can also request info online here.

The Salvation Army, City Rescue Mission, Volunteers of America, and other regional shelters provide beds for both men and women.

All shelters recommend arriving early in the morning to reserve your space. Otherwise, if this is an emergency and the shelter is full, contact your local police department for help finding emergency shelter.

Housing Assessment and Resource Agency (HARA)

Individual housing needs assessments and service referrals are done through a single, centralized Housing Assessment and Resource Agency (HARA) in every community. Each HARA has a Housing Resource Specialist that works with individuals to gather information to determine both need and eligibility and then connect them to services, as appropriate. To locate your local HARA, please click the HARA link above.
