Emergency housing assistance from 2-1-1 Helpline

If you have an emergency need for housing assistance, you can contact the 2-1-1 Helpline. 

If you’re in immediate need of housing, financial assistance, utility assistance, food, or other community resources, dial 2-1-1 and a United Way Resource Specialist will provide you with information on available resources in your area. 
 
Help is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, from anywhere in Michigan. If you experience problems dialing 2-1-1, call 1-800-552-1183. Alternatively, you may use their text service by texting your zip code to 898211, or visit their web site to email, chat, or search their online database to access more than 30,000 different statewide programs and services. This service is provided for free through United Way for Southeastern Michigan.
