Michigan's 'Lemon Law' for defective new vehicles

Michigan legislation provides legal protection for consumers who purchase or lease a new vehicle that is later discovered to have defects. The state's Consumer Protection office details the law here:

Michigan's Lemon Law doesn't apply to most used vehicles. The exception is used vehicles "covered by a manufacturer’s express warranty at the time of purchase or lease."
