The Department of Health and Human Services can help you and your family with temporary assistance when times are tough.

 

Eligibility

Eligibility is based on the financial situation of all members in a household. Everyone who lives together and purchases and prepares food together is considered a member of the same household group.

Clients are issued a Michigan Bridge Card to purchase certain food products and access cash benefits at a number of retailers and ATMs throughout the state.

 

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) is a free nutrition education and physical activity promotion program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) for children, youth, and adults who receive or are eligible to receive SNAP benefits.

Michigan households who receive food assistance are now able to buy food online from select retailers through amazon.com, walmart.com, earthfare.com, and www.aldi.us using their Bridge Cards.

 

Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT)
